Investor Expectations of Retailers Heading Into Black Friday

This Black Friday retailers are competing for consumers’ attention with a flood of advertising and promotions. Who will come out on top and who will lag? To answer this question we looked at the optimism about each retailer expressed in financial social media. Notably, despite initial angst with Walmart for opening on Thanksgiving Day itself, social media is gradually warming to the idea as Walmart rises off a pessimistic consensus from just a few days ago.
